How I make compost from Kitchen Waste in Rosanna Australia

I have passion for environment and i practise 5 R:-
1. Recycle – recycling waste & make it to compost
2. Reduce- reduce chemical usage, reduce emission from car which are harmful to the environment
3. Reuse – reuse things which is not biodegrable such as plastic, bring own container to packet rice
4. Rethink – rethink before we throw any rubbish
5. Repair – repair any equipment or machinery before we throw them to the rubbish bin
I just wanna share how i recycle all my organic waste ie kitchen waste (fruits peels, vegetable root, left over food etc)
Kitchen waste for compost

Here is my compost area in the arden
Compost area in garden

Dig a hole in the compost area.

Pour the kitchen waste into the hole. The kitchen waste is so colorful.Isn’t it?

Cover it with soil and then is done!

Instead of putting into the garbage bin which will be collected by Banyule City Council every Tuesday, I had helped to zero the organic rubbish.
After a few weeks, the compost will be ready and you can start to plant some vegetables. You can add in some bokashi into the kitchen waste to accelerate the compost.
